Dear Families,
We are so thankful to be back and able to ask for volunteers. It was a sad year with no parents in the building! Our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is looking to fill several positions for the 21-22 school year. Please take a look at these and let me know if you are interested. We need a President, Party Planners, and much more. Come join the fun! Please email julia.singleton@dcsdk12.org if you are interested or you can let your child’s classroom teacher know.

PTO board positions:
Party Planner
This parent needs to be a fun loving planner who helps organize school events such as Fall Festival booths, coordinating auction items, holiday events, end of year celebrations … We need one per classroom.
President DELEGATE
Determine the role of the Vice President(s). Appoint Special Committees as needed. Oversee and/or manage the operations of the website, Gmail and Facebook account. Disseminate the Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation and Policies and Procedures to the Board and chairs and/or special committees to be better educated and prepared to work as a cohesive group.
Vice President PRESIDENT’S RIGHT HAND (WO)MAN
Including but not limited to communication, hospitality, and/or membership. Include but not excluding the creation of an agenda for an upcoming meeting and running of an Executive Board meeting and/or General PTO meeting in the absence of the President.
Secretary NOTE TAKER and liaison EXTRAORDINAIRE
Handle correspondence of the LES PTO, including, but not limited to: gestures of appreciation and sympathy on behalf of LES PTO and sending notices of meetings to the membership. The Secretary also keeps a copy of the minute’s book, bylaws, rules, membership list, and any other necessary supplies, and brings them to meetings. The Secretary is also responsible for keeping the LES PTO/SAC communication board at the school current.
Communications - help keep PTO Facebook account and website up to date.
